Irving school ratings and districts start with Irving ISD, which serves most of the city. Parts of Irving, mainly in the north, are in three other districts. Here is who serves what, how assignment works and where to check official ratings.

Which school districts serve Irving?

Irving ISD serves most of Irving. Parts of the city are in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, Coppell ISD and Grapevine-Colleyville ISD.

Some north Irving addresses, including parts near Valley Ranch, are in Carrollton-Farmers Branch or Coppell ISD. Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD serves some Irving students through Ranchview High School.

What are the official district ratings?

The Texas Education Agency's 2026 A–F accountability ratings give these overall district results. Scores are in parentheses. Irving ISD: C (78). Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD: B (81). Coppell ISD: A (93). Grapevine-Colleyville ISD: A (91).

How does school assignment work in Irving ISD?

Your address sets your neighborhood school by attendance zone. The district's school locator shows the assigned campus. Irving ISD also runs six Schools of Choice that students apply to. They include a STEM academy, a leadership academy and early college programs.
