Where are new homes being built in Lewisville?

Castle Hills, annexed into the city in 2021, is the main source. American Legend Homes lists two-story townhomes at Castle Hills Northpointe. Some are move-in ready and others are under construction. Other builders may list infill homes or townhomes elsewhere in the city, so check the live listings.

How does buying from a builder work?

The sales agent in the model home works for the builder. Bring your own agent to your first visit, or register your agent before you walk in. Many builders only honor your agent from that first visit.

Texas has state-issued new home contract forms, but builders often use their own. Read it with your agent. Look closely at finish dates, earnest money, upgrade deposits and what happens if the build runs late.

Builders often like to keep the base price and offer upgrades or closing-cost help instead. Compare any preferred-lender deal with an outside loan estimate.

Should I inspect a brand-new home?

Yes. Hire your own inspector for a pre-drywall inspection and a final inspection. Think about one more visit before the builder's warranty ends. Keep every warranty paper and put each deadline on your calendar.

Do new homes in Lewisville have PID or district taxes?

Some do. The city created Lewisville Castle Hills Public Improvement District No. 6, first approved in 2014. It sits inside the lines of a former Denton County fresh water supply district. PIDs repay improvements through a yearly assessment on top of regular taxes.
